Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Professor - Medical Ethics typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students. Full/Part Time Status: Negotiable Position Description:The University of Iowa, Division of Cardiovascular Medicine in the Department of Internal Medicine is recruiting a Research Assistant Professor.
Successful candidates will be required to self-disclose any misconduct history or pending research misconduct investigation including but not limited to sexual misconduct in prior employment and provide a related release and will be subject to a criminal background and credential check.
Education Requirement:Candidates must have a Ph.D. degree or equivalent.
Required Qualifications:The successful candidate must have performed research focusing on the influence of select micro-RNAs or microproteins in cardiovascular disease and neurodegenerative disease. The candidate must have a minimum of ten years postdoctoral experience with a strong publication record. Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S.
