Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students.   • Overview:
    We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Medical Receptionist/Medical Assistant to join our team. This position plays a crucial role in providing excellent patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a medical setting, possess strong organizational skills, and be knowledgeable in medical terminology and office procedures.

    Responsibilities:
    - Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
    - Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage patient inquiries
    - Verify patient information and update electronic health records (EHR)
    - Assist with patient check-in and check-out processes
    - Collect co-pays and process insurance payments
    - Prepare examination rooms for patient visits
    - Assist healthcare providers with basic medical procedures as needed
    - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area and waiting room
    - Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality
    - Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care

    Requirements:
    - High school diploma or equivalent required; Medical Assistant certification preferred
    - Previous experience working in a medical office or similar healthcare setting
    - Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems
    - Strong knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
    - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    - Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
    - Familiarity with front desk operations including appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and billing processes
    - Understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality
