College of Nursing
Qualifications: Masters prepared nurse with a minimum of two years clinical experience Teaching experienced preferred. Credentials of and advanced practice registered nurse with licensure with the State of Louisiana. Possesses qualities of integrity, initiative and good judgment with high ethical standards. Must have the ability to work and communicate effectively with others.
Duties and responsibilities: Teach healthcare ethics for interdisciplinary students. Assume and fulfill administrative responsibilities commensurate with the position by: meeting with Level Coordinator on a regular basis to discuss course objectives, grading criteria, student's progress, etc.; accepting designated assignments, assist in classroom and/or clinical teaching; assisting in student's progress and assume responsibility for improving teaching ability; consulting with level coordinator prior to initiating changes in lecture.
Assist in the planning and implementation of a sound educational program designed to meet the outcomes of the specified course and level.
