Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students. This Medical Assistant, Full Time position is responsible for performing a wide variety of patient care duties.
The Medical Assistant ensures proper functioning of this position by:- Assisting in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician.
- Interviewing patients, measures vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), venipuncture and procedure as directed by the physician within the scope of practice in the State.
- Recording documentation in the Electronic Medical Record in accordance with IPM guideline.
- Assist with daily admiistrative duties, including covering the front desk, answering multi-phone lines and making copies of documents as necessary.
- Accurately files patient charts; including scanning documents into files as necessary.
- Schedules patient appointments as necessary, return visits and Specialists.
