Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being a Professor - Medical Ethics provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Professor - Medical Ethics typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students.     • Provides instruction including hands-on and theory, classroom management, and administrative tasks that may include reports, syllabus and lesson plan development.
    • Prepares and/or maintains current course syllabi for course taught.   
    • Ensures that course is taught in accordance with the establish syllabi.  
    • May teach in the day, evening, on-campus, as well as alternate delivery methods i.e. internet, hybrid, etc.

    This position is located on the Airport Campus in the School of Health Care.
    Associate’s degree in a healthcare related field, three (3) years of experience in a healthcare facility and a current certification as a CMA (AAMA) or RMA(AMT) through the AAMA.    .    Associate’s degree in a healthcare related field, three (3) years of recent employment in a health care facility, including a minimum of 160 hours in an ambulatory health care setting performing or observing administrative or clinical procedures as performed by medical assistants.  Must be credentialed in Medical Assisting by an organization whose credentialing exam is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or American National Standards Institute (ANSI).DIVERSITY STATEMENTMidlands Technical College (MTC) believes diversity, equity, and inclusion are key pillars in achieving success in the classroom, workplace, and beyond.
