Being a Professor - Medical Ethics provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Professor - Medical Ethics typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students. Payment for license/renewal of license and Continuing Education credits are covered by university funding.—Applicants must be licensed or be able to be licensed as a Clinical Psychologist in the state of New Mexico within one year of hiring date.—This position will be based at NMHU’s main campus in Las Vegas, NM.—This position will include research mentoring of Psychology graduate students.—This position will include academic advising of undergraduate and graduate students.—This position will require development of a psychology research laboratory and an active research program.—This position will include service to the university and department.The College of Arts and Sciences, housed within a Hispanic Serving Institution, is dedicated to creating a climate of engagement, diversity and inclusion, and providing pathways for students from under-represented groups to pursue Psychology careers.
