Clinical responsibilities include the evaluation, counseling, and management of patients with fetal anomalies who are referred to the UCSF FTC. The candidate must qualify for a full-time faculty position as Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences at UCSF.

The UCSF Fetal Treatment Center was the first institution to develop fetal surgery, and combines the talents of specialists in pediatric surgery, genetics, perinatology, anesthesia, cardiology, radiology, nursing, and neonatal medicine. We are one of the most experienced institutions in fetal surgery and our dedication to research, innovation, and clinical application has included the training of many dedicated physicians. Our team of doctors, nurses, and social workers works together to coordinate all aspects of care from diagnosis to postoperative recovery and long-term follow-up.

UCSF has a long history of excellence in clinical care, and is part of a vibrant basic, translational, and clinical research community. The Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences is internationally respected and provides an infrastructure that facilitates success. UCSF opened a new hospital at our state of- the-art Mission Bay Campus in 2015, and we are seeking candidates committed to improving the lives and health of all women through excellence, innovation, and leadership.

Also included are the uninhabited Farallon Islands, 27 miles (43 km) offshore in the Pacific Ocean. The mainland within the city limits roughly forms a "seven-by-seven-mile square", a common local collo...
