Professor - Music teaches courses in the discipline area of music. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being a Professor - Music provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Professor - Music typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students.       Music Teacher

      Qualifications:
      • Must hold a NJ Teacher of Music Certification
      • Experience working with elementary students Grades K-4.
      • Ability to teach vocal and instrumental music, preferred.
      • Knowledge of NJSLS.
      • Ability to work in a collaborative environment as part of a team.
      • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
      • Willing to work in district as a substitute from September 2022 through December 2023 with the current Music Teacher who is retiring.

      Working Conditions: Full TIme, 10 month position, with benefits

      Position Start Date: January 3, 2023
