Professor - Music jobs in Macon, GA
Professor - Music teaches courses in the discipline area of music. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being a Professor - Music provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Professor - Music typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students. Windsor Academy is currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Music Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will strongly commit to providing elementary, middle, and high school music students with a nurturing and stimulating learning environment. Plan and implement effective lessons, using materials and resources effectively. This position will be responsible for developing and delivering engaging music instruction while exercising classroom management. The Music Teacher will be responsible for planning special musical events and preparing students to perform at the school.
