Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students. The School of Nursing and Health Sciences serves over 300 students majoring in undergraduate programs including Bachelor of Science with a major in Nursing, Exercise Science, and Health Science. The school has on-line degree completion programs in Registered Nurse to Bachelor of Science (RN-BS) and a newly formed Registered Respiratory Therapist to Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Therapy (RRT- BSRT). The school has a CCNE fully accredited Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) program with three tracks: Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL), Nursing Education and Nursing Management & Executive Leadership. The DNP degree Program prepares graduates for career advancement in healthcare leadership, advanced clinical care or health policy, and offers a path to a career as a nurse executive, clinical educator or clinical scientist. In addition, the school also offers an Associate of Science in Health Science (ASHS) degree.
Preference will be given to candidates with professional work experience in a nursing environment related to the teaching areas. The position includes teaching, advising, graduate program coordination, active scholarship and school/college service responsibilities.
