    CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT -- **PER DIEM POSITION**

    Primary Responsibilities for a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA):

    • Provide compassionate care to residents, assisting with their overall personal hygiene and activities of daily living (ADLs).
    • Encourage residents to achieve their maximum level of independence while following guidance from nursing supervisors.

    Facilitate Resident Participation:

    • Encourage residents to actively participate in facility functions.
    • Assist with transporting, transferring, escorting, supervising, and providing necessary assistance as required.

    Maintain a Clean Environment:

    • Ensure the resident environment remains clean and orderly.
    • Promptly report any repair or cleaning needs.

    Responsive Care:

    • Respond promptly to signal lights and attend to residents’ needs.
    • Accurately chart care provided using electronic medical records.

    Observations and Documentation:

    • Document all assessments and observations related to changes in resident conditions.
    • Maintain accurate and timely records.

    Safety and Rights Advocacy:

    • Prioritize residents’ safety and uphold their rights.
    • Adhere to facility policies, state and federal regulations, and instructions from supervisors and the Director of Nursing Services.

    Continuous Learning:

    • Attend in-service training, educational seminars, and staff meetings to stay informed about current nursing practices and new policies.

    By fulfilling these responsibilities, CNAs contribute significantly to the well-being of residents and the smooth operation of healthcare facilities.

    Requirements and Skills:

    • Education: High School diploma or GED.
    • Certification: State Certified Nursing Assistant Certification.
    • Computer Skills: Basic computer skills.
    • Independence and Communication: Ability to think and work independently, while maintaining effective communication.
    • Bedside Manner: Excellent oral communication skills when interacting with patients and other health professionals.
    • Stress Management: Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure, time-sensitive environments.
