Pfeiffer University seeks an assistant/associate professor in Nursing with experience in instruction in theory and clinical practice in Mental Health/Psychiatric Nursing. Responsibilities will include classroom instruction and supervision of student groups in clinical areas (outpatient and inpatient). Faculty will assist with student development, nursing skills laboratory activities, and will serve as an academic advisor to undergraduate nursing students. Participation in co-curricular activities such as department colloquia, seminars, and committees will be expected.

This candidate must have Master of Science in Nursing degree (PhD, DNP preferred), be a registered nurse with a minimum of three years in clinical practice and hold a current unrestricted license to practice as a registered nurse in North Carolina. Qualifications for faculty must meet NC Board of Nursing standards (www.ncbon.org). Nurse Educator Certification (CNE) preferred, but all qualified applicants will be considered. Competency in web-based instruction is preferred, and preference will be given to applicants with prior teaching experience. The applicant should have documented experience and expertise in instruction in theory and must have clinical practice experience in Mental Health/Psychiatric Nursing.
