Professor - Nursing jobs in York, PA
Professor - Nursing teaches courses in the discipline area of nursing. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being a Professor - Nursing provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Professor - Nursing typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students. Responsibilities of the ADON Assistant Director of Nursing:
- Provide the highest level of care to residents at our nursing home
- Ability to understand and monitor applicable regulations, policies, and procedures
- Promote patient independence by establishing patient care goals
- Resolve resident issues and needs by utilizing multidisciplinary team strategies
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with rules and regulations
- Maintain patient confidence and protect operations by keeping the information confidential
Qualifications of the ADON Assistant Director of Nursing:
- Must be a Licensed Nurse in PA
- Previous Unit Manager or ADON experience
- Responsible, ready, and eager to work
