The School of Business at Mount Saint Mary College (Newburgh, New York) invites applications for a tenure track position in the Bachelor of Science in accounting program at the rank of assistant/associate professor to start January 2023.
Primary responsibilities:
Teaching responsibilities consist of four courses per semester with advising and service to the institution’s expectations, as well as demonstration of a consistent research and publication agenda. The position requires participation in School and College-wide events that focus on new student recruitment, retention, and program promotion.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will hold an earned CPA and be a doctorate in Accounting or in a closely related discipline or be ABD with anticipated completion date no later than June 2023 at the time of appointment. Additionally, the successful candidate should have college-level teaching experience in both in-person and online format in upper level accounting courses, including in auditing, tax accounting, and accounting information system and controls. Special consideration will be given to candidates who possess experience in developing courses leading to compliance with the CPA evolution requirements.
