Professor - Philosophy teaches courses in the discipline area of philosophy. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being a Professor - Philosophy provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Professor - Philosophy typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students. Adjunct Psychology Professor
Hesston College seeks an adjunct Psychology Professor to teach General Psychology and Developmental Psychology for the 2024-25 academic year. There are two classes each semester. In person teaching is required.
Qualifications include a master’s degree or higher in psychology or a related discipline (PhD preferred). Preference is for teaching experience at the college level (graduate assistant/associate teaching experience will be considered). A commitment to student-centered instruction, and a commitment to Christian higher education and the mission and values of Hesston College, is necessary.
