Physical Therapy Aide

Huntington Beach, CA

Currently looking for a skilled Physical Therapy Aide to fill a full-time or part-time position in an Orthopedic Outpatient Clinic located in Huntington Beach, CA. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience working as an Aide. Pilates certification and/or fitness training background a plus.

Responsibilities of the Physical Therapist Aide

• Prepares treatment area for patients by adhering to prescribed procedures and protocols.
• Prepare patients for treatment by welcoming, comforting and attending to patient’s needs.
• Demonstrate working knowledge of exercise programs; accurately provide verbal and written feedback regarding observed patient performance.
• Assist treatments by applying ice packs, e-stim, ultrasound; assist patients on traction table and exercise equipment; monitor prescribed exercises and strengthening techniques. Use modalities appropriately and demonstrates awareness of safety in use of equipment.
• Oversee multiple patients simultaneously.
• Educates patients by demonstrating proper use of equipment and prompting patients on technique and form.
• Document patient care services by charting in patient and electronic records.
• Provide an outstanding physical therapy experience by serving patients in an attentive and professional manner.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least (2) years of experience working as a Physical Therapy Aide.

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
