Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students.     Founded in 1863 by Queen Emma and King Kamehameha IV, 'Iolani School is an Episcopal day and boarding school in Honolulu, Hawai'i enrolling approximately 2200 students on its K-12, 25-acre urban campus.

    'Iolani School seeks a full-time Upper School Physics teacher for grades 11 and 12 for the 2024-25 school year.

    In addition to being an active participant in our vibrant learning community, we are looking for an educator who will inspire and support our students. The ideal candidate is dynamic, a strong communicator (both written and oral) and committed to professional growth in their discipline and teaching practice.

    An advanced degree in Physics or a related academic discipline is preferred. Candidates should have at least 3-5 years of Physics or AP Physics teaching experience and be comfortable designing and executing curriculum as part of a teaching team and embrace the use of instructional technology. The teaching line will include our general Physics course, but, dependent on candidates' experience/expertise, may also include AP Physics 1.
