Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students.     Applications are being accepted for the following vacancies for the Summer and Fall 2024 semesters on the Adjunct Faculty staff of Hudson Valley Community College.

    Qualifications:

    Master’s Degree in Physics or closely related discipline from an accredited college or university. One year of college teaching experience is preferred.
    Physics courses include: Non-majors level physics and general physics I and II.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    •    Provide instruction in the Biology, Chemistry, and Physics Department in Physics.
    •    Evaluate student performance.
    •    At the direction of the Department Chairperson, faculty shall perform duties as specified in the Faculty Contract.
    •    Course assignments may be at the HVCC main campus (Troy, NY) and/or HVCC North (Malta, NY).

    The Salary is $1,340.00 per contact hour.
