Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Professor - Psychology typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students.   • Join us in shaping the future of psychology education at Tri-County Technical College! The Arts & Sciences Division seeks a collaborative, dynamic, and versatile Psychology Instructor to join our team.

    The Psychology instructor will develop and deliver a variety of engaging psychology courses for a diverse student body; provide academic support and guidance to students, fostering a positive learning environment; and contribute to curriculum development and enhancement to meet the needs of evolving programs.

    Reporting to the Department Head for Internal Partnerships, this Psychology Instructor will also collaborate with other academic divisions to design, revise, and enhance the curriculum of courses that support Tri-County’s 2-year degree, diploma, and certificate programs.  The instructor will engage with 2-year programs and actively participate in their growth and enhancement.  The instructor will contribute to the development of certificate programs and establish new internal partnerships for the Psychology faculty and curriculum, aligning with our commitment to excellence in education.
    • Master’s Degree in Psychology or a Master’s Degree in a related field with at least 18 hours in graduate-level work in Psychology.
    • Clinical/Counseling background with experience in teaching.
    • Strong commitment to innovative curriculum development.
    • Ability to teach effectively in both Face-to-Face and online formats.
    • Collaborative mindset for interdisciplinary projects.
