Position description:
Under the administrative supervision of the Program Director, and in coordination with the Social Work Team and Registered Nurse, provides therapeutic setting conductive to restoring dignity and self-steem and good mental health to all participants. Consultant will ensure compliance with all ADHC/CBAS laws, regulations, CBAS certification standard, and standards of participation.
Qualifications:
1) Be a registered Nurse with graduate degree in Psychiatric nursing and one year of psychiatric nursing within the past five years; be a registered nurse with a BS degree in nursing and three years of psychiatric nursing experience in an acute psychiatric setting or in psychiatric health facility, one year of which shall have been within the past five years.
2) Doctorate in psychology or educational psychology from an accredited university or who is licensed as such by the Medical Board of California,
3) A psychiatric social worker who is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) licensed by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences,
4) Knowledge of therapeutic setting conductive to restoring dignity and self- esteem and good mental health specific to elderly. Techniques such as group socialization activities which restore or expand normal social roles.
Must have current CPR and First Aid Certifications. Must have had a TB clearance within the last 12 months or within 7 days of employment.
