    Your Specific Responsibilities:

    This position works in the Division of Children’s Medical Services (CMS), Bureau of Child Protection and Special Technology and reports to the Public Health Services Manager F-SES.


    Serves as the State Clinical Coordinator for Sexual Abuse Treatment Programs (SATP). This position ensures clinical operation of SATPs in accordance with standard clinical procedures, Florida Statutes, Administrative Rules, CMS policies and procedures; including the requirements outlined in the Sexual Abuse Treatment Program Handbook. This position is responsible for complying with the Interagency Agreement between the Department of Health, Children's Medical Services and the Department of Children and Families.


    Provide overall direction for the operation, performance, and service delivery of the SATPs. Provide technical assistance to SATPs on program development, standards, policy and protocols, performance, and evaluation. Facilitate annual SATP activities to inform teams of policies and practices that affect operation. Update the SATP Handbook and notify teams of changes. Distribute clinical resources to support performance; coordinate and facilitate annual SATP statewide meeting. Complete associated tasks, clinical consultation for teams, facilitate workgroups to create uniform protocols, and review statewide compliance with annual training requirements.


    Plan and provide on-site or webinar clinical trainings to improve sexual abuse/trauma knowledge and skills to enhance best practice and service delivery.


    Provide on-site clinical monitoring to ensure compliance with clinical policies and procedures. Promote empirically supported treatment approaches for sexual abuse victims, to enhance the quality of services. Implement and monitor Performance Improvement Plans when applicable.


    Review and assess data to identify trends to evaluate performance and make recommendations. Create statistical reports to monitor programmatic results, service delivery and demographics.


    Complete special projects and tasks to enhance operation and performance of SATPs.

    Maintain clinical knowledge skills and provision for the treatment of sexually abused/traumatized children and non-offending caregivers.


    Performs other duties as needed.


    Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    Ability to plan and develop programs and training curricula. The ability to effectively train all levels of staff members with the use of various learning modalities and approaches. Knowledge of the dynamics of child abuse and neglect, psychotherapy, clinical modalities, and the impacts of sexual abuse and trauma. Knowledge of family dynamics and multi-systems. Ability to perform and critique clinical assessments. Ability to establish effective working relationships. The ability to cultivate, effectively build, and maintain relationship with providers and stakeholders throughout the state. Ability to understand and apply applicable Florida Statutes, rules, regulations, policies and procedures. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Ability to utilize a computer for work assignments. Ability to utilize Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, and databases.


    Required Qualifications:

    • Valid and active Florida License (LCSW, LMFT, LMHC, Licensed Psychologist)
    • Master’s degree in the behavioral sciences

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Three (3) years of experience working in the field of treating sexually abused/traumatized children
    • Two (2) years of experience working within a Sexual Abuse Treatment Programs (SATP) setting
    • Two (2) years of experience in program oversight
