The Department of Social Work and Sociology is a supportive community of committed faculty and practitioners who prepare students to make a positive impact on the lives of others. Degree options include the Bachelor of Sociology, the Bachelor of Social Work, a Master of Social Work (offered with the University of North Carolina at Greensboro) and a Ph.D. in Social Work (offered with the University of North Carolina at Greensboro). Both the Bachelor and Masters Social work programs are fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE). The Department of Social Work and Sociology has 290 undergraduate students and 150 graduate students. The department is seeking a candidate to join the Bachelor of Social Work program and our highly interactive and productive faculty.

Candidates must have a PhD in social work or PhD in a closely related field and a MSW from an accredited School of Social Work. Rank will be determined by the candidate's experience and qualifications.

Candidates with evidence of research productivity are preferred.
Clinical experience and a LCSW are preferred.
