    Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Social Work Clinician to join our team, focusing on serving low-income seniors in our community. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive and person-centered support to seniors, addressing their unique needs, and promoting their overall well-being.

      1. Ability to leverage existing programs (i.e., counseling, support groups, support services, etc.) in the city or state to help residents maintain a healthy lifestyle that embraces wellness concepts and best practices.
      2. Expertise in creating and implementing behavior support plans
      3. Expertise in providing crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques (Therapeutic Interventions, Hand-in-Hand, MANDT) and willingness to educate and train staff in those areas.
      4. Offers coordination and hands-on support to ensure that residents' needs are being met (i.e., new clothing or personal items as needed) by coordination with families and guardians and/or direct personal assistance.
      5. Coordination with internal departments (admissions and resident services) along with partner agencies (i.e., DSHS, Hospitals, Optum, and Physicians) to help ensure that new residents have a smooth, appropriate admission and onboarding process.  Also ensuring that residents that are being discharged to a setting beyond our campus also have a smooth and successful process.
      6. Able to provide back-up assistance and light support when it comes to activity programming and coordination with resident appointments and resident transportation.
      7. Proficient in the electronic medical record and able to do assessments as needed using Point Click Care and other tools.
      8. Serves as a professional leader on the campus who embraces organizational values and models behavior and performance as outlined in our Employee Handbook, Resident Handbook, and other areas.

     

    Education and Experience

    • Masters and/or BA degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or other related clinical degree and experience with geriatric population service system
    • Minimum of one year of professional experience; preferably in the senior living industry. 
    • Previous experience working with the elderly and/or disabled in a paid or volunteer position is highly desirable.
    • Knowledge and understanding of the regulations governing Assisted Living homes in Washington state, and prior work experience in a state-licensed boarding home is preferred.
