The College of Engineering at Wayne State university invited candidates to apply for an Assistant professor position in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. The position will focus research and educational efforts mainly on Embedded Systems, Advanced Computer Systems, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and IoT for Automotive Applications. This position will serve as a catalyst for broad areas of electrical and computer engineering, as well as the semiconductor and the automotive industries.
This tenure-track position which will serve as a catalyst for broad areas of electrical and computer engineering, as well as the semiconductor and the automotive industries, will target faculty at the assistant professor level with expertise in advanced computer systems and embedded systems, digital and edge computing, VLSI design, and on-chip hardware security.
Job duties to include:
Develop and maintain vigorous, productive research program, including external funding.
Provide quality teaching of undergraduate and graduate courses.
Supervise the thesis and dissertation research of graduate students.
Provide service to the Department, College, and University by contributing to college and university service activities.
PhD required in Engineering or related field
We expect to make appointments at the Assistant Professor level, but will consider exceptional candidates at the Associate Professor level.
