Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students.     Clark College is currently seeking to fill a part-time Sociology Professor position to teach 1-2 Introductory to Sociology courses per academic term.

    This part-time position is an ongoing recruitment in which applications are collected year-round. Applicants must be available to teach the daytime, evening or weekend hours. Positions will be filled as program needs arise.

    Qualifications

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES:

    • Master's Degree or higher in Sociology or a closely related field.
    • Experience teaching college level courses.
    • Ability to work well as a member of a team.
    • Ability to work well with people of all ages from academically, culturally, and socioeconomically diverse backgrounds.

    SALARY STATEMENT: Lecture hourly rate is $85.48
