    The Department of Biology and Chemistry at Bethel University (IN) is seeking applications for a full-time tenure track faculty member in Cell and Molecular Biology starting August 2024. Bethel is an intentionally Christ-centered institution which hires faculty who demonstrate a strong Christian faith. The successful candidate will be knowledgeable in cell and molecular biology and biochemistry and will likely teach a combination of the following: General Biology, Microbiology, Genetics, and Biochemistry, all with labs, and a lecture course in Cell & Molecular Biology. Other possible teaching assignments may include Scientific Research Methods, Science and Faith Seminar or other related courses. They will advise students in any of the majors in the department. Eligible candidates should possess a Ph.D. in a biological field such as cell & molecular biology, genetics, or biochemistry.

    Job responsibilities include twelve load hours of teaching undergraduates each semester, as well as advising students, serving on committees and otherwise supporting the mission of Bethel University. An ability to engage students in undergraduate research is an added strength.

    Our department offers majors in biology, chemistry, and science education. A high percentage of Bethel graduates secure acceptance into professional and graduate school.

    Requirements: Ph.D. in Biological Sciences or Biochemistry; ABD candidates will be considered
