    • Is responsible for all programming operations. Develops and implements programs to accommodate the wide range of interest for library patrons.
    • Administers library programs and prepares after-action reports and conducts evaluations of library program successes and failures.
    • Coordinates the development and implementation of library programs in accordance with supervisory librarian's recommendation and guidance. Develops marketing and publicity materials (print and electronic) for review and approval.
    • Prepares and maintains weekly/monthly/ annual programming statistics. Complies an annual programming binder containing marketing and public relations materials for all library programs.
    • Represents the library at public relations meetings inclining but not limited to: Marketing, Family Support, Base Education and Public Affairs.
    • Assists library users with library equipment. Performs routine clerical tasks. Assists at the circulations desk as needed.

    Qualifying Experience:

    Must have experience in a library that provided specific knowledge of library rules, policies, and procedures for circulation and technical service and/or prior experience in program development. Must be able to read, write, and speak English. Must have experience or training that demonstrates the ability to perform computer data processing. Must have typing experience. Work requires some physical exertion such as long periods of standing; recurring activities such as bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, and reaching; pushing loaded book trucks; and recurring lifting of moderately heavy items. Must be physically able to frequently Iift boxes of up to 40 pounds. Must be able to reach up to 72 inches with or without the assistance of a step stool. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a preemployment physical. Successful completion of a Tier-I background investigation is required. Must possess skill in dealing with the public.

    Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.

    FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program.
