Professor - Special Education teaches courses in the discipline area of special education. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being a Professor - Special Education provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Professor - Special Education typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students. Job Summary :
Soliant is currently seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our supportiveteam. As a Special Education Teacher, you will be responsible for providing instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs.
We are looking for an enthusiastic educator who is committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with diverse learning needs.
- Provide direct instruction and support to students with various disabilities, including but not limited to, learning disabilities, emotional disturbances, and autism spectrum disorders.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the unique needs of each student in the classroom.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure student success and progress.
- Use data-driven methods to monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of student progress, attendance, and IEP goals.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
- Valid Stateteaching license with Special Education endorsement required.
