    About the Position
    This position supports the Health and Human Development Department and corresponding programs through administrative, clerical, and student support. This individual needs to clearly understand the mission, programs, and many facets of the department. This position uses independent judgement and is responsible to support a wide scope of departmental and student needs. This position supports the HHD autonomous degree programs [Public Health, Kinesiology and Physical Education, and Recreation Management and Leadership (RML)] specifically by coordinating all aspects of event planning, field trip and service-learning experiences, retreats, internship and venue contract management, and travel management for trips and retreats. This position is also the point of contact for all walk-ins and general HHD inquiries in the main suite for the department. This staff member will support faculty with organization of accreditation visits and Alumni relations and outreach.

    This position will support the Department Manager and Program Coordinator by managing and organizing the HHD workroom and supply closet inventories, as well as daily mail distribution and complete all copy service requests. Provide support for any special tasks, as needed.

    This position will work with the contract office, through the contract management module, to develop contracts needed for internships, when a contract is required by internship site.

    This individual is an integral member of the staff team which is embedded in the dynamic environment of the Department of Health and Human Development.

    This is a full-time, 9-month cyclic position.



    Required Qualifications
    • High School graduation or equivalent education and/or work experience.
    • Two years of full-time clerical experience
    • Experience with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook.)
    • Desire and ability to train to learn new software
    • Demonstrated experience supporting diverse, traditionally underrepresented or underserved, first-generation, low-socioeconomic, or non-traditional student populations
    • High degree of professionalism

    Preferred Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree
    • Two years of experience providing student academic program support.
    • Experience with Drupal, Banner, Marketplace, Curriculog or similar software.
    • Experience with the CMM contracting system
    • Experience with program marketing and outreach
    • Experience with software related to publishing and graphics.
    • Ability to multi-task and work in a very fast-paced environment.
    • Ability to work respectfully within a diverse workplace.
    • Ability to work in a setting that requires confidentiality.
    • Ability to work in a shared office space.
    • Ability to work effectively with diverse students, staff, and faculty as a contributing team member

    $3,207 - $4,257/month depending on qualifications and experience
