    PURPOSE

    Fresno Community Health Improvement Partnership (FCHIP) seeks a Coordinator with diverse skills in coordinating stakeholders, meetings and events, communication and marketing, administration, and recordkeeping. This position requires strong organizational skills, and the ability to work well with a team and independently to meet FCHIP and position objectives. The FCHIP Coordinator will provide support to the FCHIP Program Director, the FCHIP Leadership Team and Executive Committee, the FCHIP Workgroups, and the Fresno HOPE Pathways Community HUB.

    BACKGROUND INFORMATION

    FCHIP was established in 2014 to achieve meaningful and lasting improvement in personal and population health outcomes through the alignment and measurement of current and future health-related initiatives in Fresno County. Today, FCHIP is an anchoring health-focused initiative that works closely with the community and local coalitions. Successfully addressing the significant health disparities that impact health outcomes in Fresno County demands agreement on shared priorities, integrative designs for aligned intervention strategies, and collaborative action from multi-sector partners. The FCHIP collaborative platform provides the space and resources for this work. Please refer to fchip.org for more information. FCHIP currently has six active workgroups and initiatives:

    • Trauma and Resilience Network (TRN)
    • Food Security Network (FSN)
    • Diabetes Collaborative
    • Fresno County Trauma-Informed Network of Care (NoC)
    • Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Initiative (EDI)
    • Fresno HOPE – A Pathway Community HUB (Fresno HOPE PCH)
    • Youth Leadership Council

    FCHIP Vision: "To create a culture of health in our community where every person has the opportunity and support they need to achieve a life of well-being.”

    FCHIP is governed by an Executive Committee of five members and advised by a Leadership Team of 12 community leaders. More than 1,600 individuals representing several hundred organizations are on our listserv and receive the FCHIP monthly F. CHAT newsletter. Approximately 60-70 people attend FCHIP convenings.

    Fresno Metro Ministry is the fiscal sponsor for the Fresno Community Health Improvement Partnership (FCHIP).

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Plan, organize, coordinate, and track a range of activities and outcomes
    • Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Program Director and FCHIP Workgroup leaders

    Meetings and Events

    • Plan and coordinate meetings and events
    • Provide administrative support to FCHIP Workgroups such as maintaining meeting calendars and scheduling, maintaining listservs, developing agendas with workgroup Chairpersons, creating presentations, taking meeting notes, etc.
    • Serve as an ambassador for FCHIP and present at some workgroup and community meetings

    Communication and Marketing

    • Help design and implement communication strategies, including social media
    • Create FCHIP’s monthly newsletter, F.CHAT
    • Draft, edit and post communications copy (e.g. press releases, publications, social media)
    • Develop marketing materials
    • Maintain web content
    • Prepare presentations and reports

    Data

    • Track network participation and engagement
    • Manage data system to track network activity
    • Maintain and track workgroup activities
    • Track projects and grant deliverables by collecting data and stories for grant reports and FCHIP communications

    Fund Development

    • Support the FCHIP Program Director in Fund Development by creating materials and tracking sponsorships and contributions

    Other related duties as identified

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • Enthusiastic commitment to FCHIP’s mission and goals
    • Ability to manage multiple projects at once and prioritize tasks
    • Excellent communication abilities (oral and written)
    • Highly organized with the ability to set up workflow and standard operating processes
    • Excellent time and task management skills to successfully manage multiple tasks simultaneously
    • Self-motivated, resourceful, and enjoys working with people
    • Solid editing and researching skills
    • Proficient in MS Office
    • Familiarity with design software and experience in creating graphics (e.g. CANVA and MailChimp)
    • Familiarity with WordPress or capacity to learn
    • Strong attention to detail

    EDUCATIONAL/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS

    The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree and at least two years of related work experience or an associate degree and a minimum of 4 years of related work experience.

    OTHER REQUIREMENTS

    • Must be adaptable to changes in job responsibilities
    • Must be able to work as an effective member of a team and foster strong collaborative working relationships with partners
    • Must be able to exchange timely and accurate information in frequent communications with internal and external stakeholders about project activities
    • Experience working and living in communities impacted by health inequities in Fresno County is highly valued for this position
    • Experience in conducting Zoom meetings/webinars
    • Ability to operate media equipment such as projectors and personal computers/laptops for in person meetings

    LOCATION OF ASSIGNMENT

    All work will take place in Fresno County, California; Hybrid work options are available.

    HOURS & COMPENSATION

    • This is a full-time, non-exempt position, generally during regular business hours. Some weeks may require flexible hours on weekends or evenings.
    • The hourly compensation range is $20-24 per hour DOE with generous benefits
    • The hiring organization is Fresno Metro Ministry as the fiscal sponsor of FCHIP

    ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    Work is generally performed in an environmentally controlled setting. Events may be conducted indoors or outdoors in a variety of weather and environmental conditions. Employee is regularly required to sit; stand, walk and climb stairs, speak and hear, both in person and by telephone; and use fingers and hands repetitively to operate office equipment including tablets and keyboards and to reach with hands and arms. Occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel or bend and may lift up to 25 pounds.
