Program Assistant (Non-Profit) provides operational and administrative support for one or more programs of a non-profit organization. Contributes to fundraising, budgeting, research, and community outreach efforts. Being a Program Assistant (Non-Profit) prepares a program event calendar, schedules meetings, and coordinates training sessions. Responds to inquiries from the public with information and materials. Additionally, Program Assistant (Non-Profit) processes and maintains a database related to donors, fundraising, volunteers, and partners using a client relationship management (CRM) or another system and generates reports. Assists with the creation of promotional materials, mailings, or website content. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Program Assistant (Non-Profit) work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. As a Program Assistant/Activities Assistant, you will provide loving care and assistance to our members by helping them with activities, personal and medical care, meals, and on and off-site social activities. Yes, our Program Assistants are most definitely ACTIVE!! Our Program Assistants are always smiling and creating a warm and welcoming environment, all while ensuring our members are safe, happy, and well.

Responsibilities
As a Program Assistant/Activities Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting members with activities, personal care and some medical care
- Assisting with the planning and facilitation of fun, creative and diverse recreational programs and encourage member participation.
- Serving meals and assisting with meals
- Ensuring our members enjoy a loving and caring environment that will bring joy to our members’ heart and a smile to their faces!
Qualifications
As a Program Assistant/Activities Assistant, you will have the following qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred or a minimum of two (2) years relevant experience
- At least 18 years of age.
- One-year full-time equivalent experience in a health care setting preferred.
- Prior experience working with seniors and/or adults with special needs preferred.
- This is a very physical job - we are ACTIVE Day after all! As a result, you will need to be able to:
- Push, pull, lift, transfer, pivot at least 50 pounds.
- Sit, Stand and/or Walk up to 8 hours a day
