Rate of Pay: .75 FTE
Responsible for enrolling and instructing students in order to meet necessary goals and qualify to get a GED.
Essential Functions:
- Recruit and enroll students in the GED Program.
- Conduct needs assessment analysis for each participant.
- Instruct individuals in a classroom setting.
- Monitor particiapants needs in order to remediate educational deficiencies.
- Maintain the required participant progress documentation.
- Keep daily attendance records and progress reports.
- Assist in the counseling and guidnce with emphasis on maximum progress of particiapants.
- Develop incentives to keep participants in class.
- Assess students' readiness to take exam.
- Develop professional relationships with other agencies and programs.
Qualifications:
- Current Teaching Credential Preferred
- Ability to maintain excellent working relationships with staff and particiapants.
- Knowlegable, mature, and concerned with the welfare and academic progress of participants.
- Ablility to plan strategies and lessons to meet the participants goals.
- Must demonstrate enthusiasm, be a self-starter and a positive role model.
- Ability to communicate effectively orally or in written form.
- Ability to instruct and maintain emotional control under stress.
- Be computer literate.
