About Us:

The Arc of Essex County is a non-profit organization that provides services and programs for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. Our corporate office is located in Livingston, NJ and we have programs throughout Essex County.

This position is in person at the Shapiro Center office in Roseland NJ. The Shapiro Center is our Early Intervention Program that provides in-home therapeutic services and caregiver training to families with children up to age 3 who have or are at risk for developing a delay or disability.

Job Summary:

The Shapiro Center is currently seeking a Program Information Coordinator to provide administrative support and program coordination including office support; utilization, updating, and review of billing system; updating and tracking of files and database; and assistance with case coordination and file system.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provides general office assistance, answers phones and files paperwork

• Maintains database for all cases, open and closed; inputs new information into database as needed

• Reviews and processes Progress Summary reports as per procedure

• Prepares and manages Welcome Packets

• Handles other departmental processing and follows procedures to ensure compliance

• Conducts program orientation and staff training

• Responsible for overall coordination of the billing system, reviewing and processing of all bills, and reconciling logs with billing in EIMS billing system

• Generates and distributes reports from the database and other sources

• Performs other related duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines

Education / Work Experience / Skills:

• Bachelor's degree preferred

• 3 year experience preferred, must have excellent typing skills

• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Suite

• Billing knowledge preferred
