UNM Los Alamos is seeking a Program Coordinator who will focus on supporting the Community and Workforce Program Manager and Adult Education Program Manager to address the educational workforce needs of our student population. Plans and coordinates the day-to-day fiscal, administrative, and operational activities of a narrowly defined, contract or grant funded program/project or set of funded activities. Duties typically include assisting with grant planning and administration, fiscal, budgetary, and/or other associated transactions, program implementation and administration, internal and external operational/administrative liaison, program marketing, and reporting. This is typically a term position tied to the contract/grant funding period, which requires approval by Human Resources prior to use.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities Include:
1. Serves as a central point of contact
between students in community education, continuing education, adult education,
and various credit classes, faculty, instructors, staff, other departments,
and/or external constituencies on day-to-day programmatic, operational, and
administrative matters; assists with seminars, meetings, special projects,
and/or general problem resolution.
2. Assists in program planning, implementation, and evaluation of
Community, Workforce, and Adult Education Programs, ensuring that developing
and existing programs are effective and in conformance with the overall goals
and objectives of the organization.
3. Work with the Community Education Program Manager to coordinate
Summer Program for Youth (SPY).
4. Provides program/student evaluations and data records for IET
Programs, Community, and Continuing Education classes.
5. May assist with grant and/or proposal writing for Academic
Affairs, Continuing Education, and Adult Education as appropriate to the
objectives and funding nature of the program; may participate in other
fundraising activities.
6. Enters Student Data, Goals Progress, HSE, Tutoring, and Advising
hours into LACES database.
7. Plans, develops, and oversees community outreach activities for
targeted student populations. Promotes programs and recruits students through
networking with local school and community groups.
