POSITION: Program Director

REPORTS TO: Board of Directors

APPLIES TO: 1st Choice Social Adult Day Care

POSITION SUMMARY:

The target population of Social Adult Day Care includes the frail elderly and persons related disorders. Program activities help facilitate member participation and engagement, promote member strengths and independence. The position provides leadership and management skills to the center staff, oversees daily operation to ensure programs and activities are provided to members as needed, and also compliance with the State and Health Plan regulations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• participate in administrative planning and decision making with leadership in the development and advancement of the geriatric continuum
• direct all administrative, human resources and operational functions of the program
• develop, manage and maintain the financial viability of the program
• establish and maintain quality assurance programs and set standards of care provided in the adult day health programs for the elderly
• serve as an advocate for all services provided within the geriatric continuum
• Maintain membership in the NYS Social Day Care Association and attends regular membership meetings and educational sessions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A minimum of 2 years' experience of management experience in a health care setting
• Bachelor' degree; Master's in Health Services, Healthcare Administration or the equivalent preferred
• Strong managerial, operational and leadership experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
