RESPONSIBLE TO: Family Support Program Manager
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
The Healthy Families Program provides parent education and support to young parents with young children through home visiting, parent child groups, and parent support groups. Program components include parenting support, parent skill development, child development education, health/wellness education and referrals to agencies and services. Home visitors assist with the development of family goals, support parents to achieve goals, promote healthy outcomes of pregnancy, reduce child abuse and prevent developmental delays in children. Services are inclusive of the family unit (including fathers/partners) and promote family stability. Also includes data collection, program evaluation, and advocacy. Works as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.
FUNCTION:
Responsible for day to day administration management of the Healthy Families program. Responsible for planning and implementing a strength-based home visiting program, including direct oversight of staff, conducting bi-weekly staff meetings, overseeing maintenance of records and reports, documentation of measurable performance standards and reports, budget preparation and funding requests. Represents the program and agency to funders and establishes/maintains positive relationships with community programs as referral sources and sources of services for participants.

WORK SCHEDULE:
35 hours per week, with up to 40 hours per week during training period. Based in Pittsfield with some travel in Berkshire County and occasional travel to Eastern MA.
Position begins in June 2024.
