Designs policies, procedures, and strategies to meet program objectives. Being a Program Director (Non-Profit) oversees program operations and leads and coordinates the activities of program teams and partners. Utilizes data-driven analysis and forecasting to measure and evaluate the performance of programs. Additionally, Program Director (Non-Profit) develops budgets and may manage the grant proposal process. Organizes and oversees fundraising and community outreach events. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to an executive. The Program Director (Non-Profit) typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Program Director (Non-Profit) typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     Camp Beech Cliff is seeking a senior level administrative seasonal staff for our traditional outdoor
    education day camp. Program Director responsibilities include (but not limited to):

    • Assist in designing and leading staff training;
    • Assist camp director in maintaining compliance with all Maine State Licensing and ACA
    accreditation standards;
    • Supervise and support a variety of day camp programs and program head counselors (Archery,

    Arts & Crafts, Nature, Performing Arts, Pottery, Sports & Games, Downeast DIY and Challenge
    Course, Swimming, and Boating); requires coaching different teaching styles, conducting formal
    staff evaluations, tracking the program budget, and improving the flow of camp;

    • Manage weekly program schedules Including: Daily Camper Choice Activities, Staffing
    assignments, and schedules of special programming
    • Plan and lead weekly In-Service Trainings s needed depending upon program
    • Work with the administrative team to plan and conduct the Counselor-In-Training (CIT) program;
    • Act as a liaison between program staff and administration, conduct staff meetings, and identify
    and assist with necessary continued staff training;
    • Maintain positive professional relationships with all summer staff;
    • Work as a member of the administrative team to maintain the quality of all camper (ages 5-15 yrs)

    experiences.

    Minimum qualifications: enthusiasm for camp and youth, clear and honest communication skills, clean
    driving record, ability to supervise, BA Degree with significant camp experience preferred.

    Considerations: Applicants should realize that the job of camp staff is challenging, demanding, and
    requires a great deal of patience and understanding. Personal lifestyle sacrifices will have to be made
    including disconnecting from daily use of digital technology during the camp day. Sensitive and dynamic
    leadership is necessary to provide youngsters the opportunity to grow, learn to positively relate to
    others, establish life-long values, and increase their appreciation of the natural world. All staff must
    adhere to the health and safety laws set forth by the State of Maine Dept of Human Services Youth
    Camps Division, and standards for accreditation with the American Camping Association. Possible
    Housing.

    Commitment: Mid-May (depending on availability) through end of August. Weekly salary range: $550 –
