    Our client a large non-profit is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Finance to oversee all financial aspects of our organization. The Director of Finance will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective stewardship of our financial resources, supporting the strategic goals of the organization, and maintaining the highest standards of fiscal responsibility and transparency.

    Responsibilties
    • Financial Planning and Analysis:
    • Develop and implement comprehensive financial plans, budgets, and forecasts aligned with the foundation's strategic objectives.
    • Conduct regular financial analysis and reporting to assess the financial performance of the organization and provide insights to the executive team and the Board of Directors.
    • Financial Operations Management:
    • Manage day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.
    • Establish and maintain robust internal controls and financial policies to safeguard the organization's assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Grant Management and Reporting:
    • Oversee the financial administration of grants and contracts, including budget development, expenditure tracking, and reporting to funders and stakeholders.
    • Collaborate with program managers and development teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting on grant-funded activities and outcomes.
    • Audit and Compliance:
    • Coordinate the annual audit process and serve as the primary liaison with external auditors to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory guidelines.
    • Implement recommendations from auditors and monitor internal controls to mitigate financial risks and enhance operational efficiency.
    • Strategic Financial Leadership:
    • Provide strategic financial guidance and expertise to the executive leadership team and the Board of Directors to support decision-making and resource allocation.
    • Identify opportunities for revenue generation, cost optimization, and process improvement to enhance the foundation's financial sustainability and impact.


    Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
    • Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in financial management, preferably in the non-profit sector.
    • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements.
    • Demonstrated experience in budgeting, financial analysis, and grant management.
