Senior Program Manager - Non Profit Case Manager Supervisor

    Salary Range: $70,000 – $75,000 annually (with a $600 signing bonus in the first year!)

    Position: 180 Degrees, a Human Services Non Profit, is seeking a Senior Program Manager to oversee our Southern Minnesota 12-bed emergency youth shelter in Rochester! The Senior Manager will supervise, direct, and oversee all aspects of the shelter; including three case managers and multiple youth advocates. This position will provide direct supervision, support and oversight for all direct care staff. The Senior Manager aligns programmatic needs contracts and funding opportunities that align with agency financials, mission, vision and values.     Care Coordination Responsibilities:

    • Manage staffing levels and schedule to ensure program census and direction on budget alignment.
    • Supervision of staff including one program administrator, three case managers, and many youth advocates which directly care for the youth in the shelter.
    • Provide performance reviews, interview, hire, and coordinate with HR/Youth Shelters Director on employee relation issues.
    • Provides direction to case managers with intakes, discharges, daily operations and timely billing to Finance.
    • Evaluate and improve non profit program elements including direction of operations, staffing, and programming.
    • Monitor and confirm compliance with all regulatory licensing and accreditation programing requirements.
    • Ensure clients are provided social services consistent with evidence best practices. Desire to be aware and up to date on all emerging program strategies, in particular trauma-informed care for effective care coordination.
    • Keep apprised and engaged in advocacy and legislative issues that impact human services and non profit licensing.
    • Conduct ongoing outreach, alongside the mobile case manager, to potential residents and local community providers to ensure referrals and that the shelter is meeting their needs.
    • Maintain an active advisory board, routinely networking with referring counties, and participating in community activities to expand the shelter's reputation and effectiveness in working with youth and their families.
    • Correspond, connect, coordinate and collaborate with other social service agencies, human services programs and community contact for the betterment of care coordination.
    • Attend periodic non profit leadership meetings to ensure alignment of individual programs with the strategic plan.
    • Coordinate ongoing training in regulatory requirements, trauma-informed care, resiliency and other essential topics to case managers and direct care staff.
    • Analyze data and recommend ways to improve human services and non profit efficiencies.


    Human Service Competencies:

    • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, Non Profit Management or relevant field preferred.
    • Five years’ experience working in a position serving clients in a social service non profit setting or residential facility preferred.
    • Valid driver’s license.
    • Maintain confidentiality and understand its implications in both the workplace and the community.
    • Experience working with a diverse workforce and clients.
    • Intermediate MS Office skills.
    • Prior program administration and/or management experience preferred.
    • Expertise in data analysis, program evaluation, trauma informed care and other contemporary approaches are beneficial.
    • Commitment to diversity and inclusion, both personally and organizationally.
