Program Director (Non-Profit) develops the programs and teams to fulfill the mission, vision, and goals of a non-profit organization. Designs policies, procedures, and strategies to meet program objectives. Under the supervision of the Club Director, the Program Director plans, implements, supervises and evaluates all programs and activities provided in the program areas.
KEY ROLES (Essential Job Responsibilities):
Program Planning
1. The Program Director supervises, plans, evaluates, and organizes the programs in the Unit.
2. Plan and oversee programs and activities that support Youth Development Outcomes:
3. Signs and posters are attractively and prominently displayed throughout the Club. Seasonal and daily program schedules should be planned, printed, and prominently displayed.
4. The Program Director promotes and stimulates interest in the assigned core program areas by establishing positive relations in the community, including but not limited to parents, schools, civic groups, and businesses.
Administrative Functions
1. The Program Director completes and submits reports, member statistics and program outcomes in a timely manner.
2. Attends scheduled staff meetings.
3. Uses POs to order necessary program supplies. Control Club programs and activity expenditures within approved budget.
Staff Supervision
1.The Program Director will assist the Club Director with the scheduling and supervision of staff in their assigned program area.
Volunteer Supervision and Development
1. The Program Director provides training, supervision, and leadership to all volunteers.
2. Has volunteers fill out volunteer application forms and background screening. Will assign volunteers to the appropriate program area.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. May oversee special events and/or programs.
2. May be required to drive a Club van/bus.
3. May consult with parents concerning member and Club issues.
RELATIONSHIPS:
Internal: Maintain close, daily contact with Club staff and Club members.
External: Maintain contact as needed with external community groups, schools, members parents and others to assist in resolving problems.
