Program Director (Non-Profit) develops the programs and teams to fulfill the mission, vision, and goals of a non-profit organization. Designs policies, procedures, and strategies to meet program objectives. Being a Program Director (Non-Profit) oversees program operations and leads and coordinates the activities of program teams and partners. Utilizes data-driven analysis and forecasting to measure and evaluate the performance of programs. Additionally, Program Director (Non-Profit) develops budgets and may manage the grant proposal process. Organizes and oversees fundraising and community outreach events. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to an executive. The Program Director (Non-Profit) typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Program Director (Non-Profit) typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     • Three (3) Years Supervisory/Administrative Experience
    • Strong leadership skills
    • Program and Fiscal Management
    • Bilingual Language abilities a plus – English/Spanish

    Responsibilities/Duties

    Lead role in direct supervision of the management staff who oversee individual Head Start centers in Luzerne and Wyoming Counties. This position is responsive to the management team for the overall operations of assigned Head Start center and maintenance of all center activities. To motivate, guide and direct the Head Start staff at the center level in a manner that supports the philosophy and policies of Luzerne County Head Start, Inc.

    Luzerne County Head Start, Inc. requires staff to possess current, valid Background Clearances (3) per state/federal regulations. Position will require record check approval of driving record by LCHS Insurance Provider, as this position is considered a designated position requiring driving as an essential job function. Proof of Degree/Certification and Experience Required to meet the Qualifications for position.

    Salary/Annual: $45,267
    Bilingual Adjustment in pay of 5% for English/Spanish language abilities
