Program Director (Non-Profit) develops the programs and teams to fulfill the mission, vision, and goals of a non-profit organization. Designs policies, procedures, and strategies to meet program objectives. Being a Program Director (Non-Profit) oversees program operations and leads and coordinates the activities of program teams and partners. Utilizes data-driven analysis and forecasting to measure and evaluate the performance of programs. Additionally, Program Director (Non-Profit) develops budgets and may manage the grant proposal process. Organizes and oversees fundraising and community outreach events. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to an executive. The Program Director (Non-Profit) typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Program Director (Non-Profit) typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.   • Since 1935, John K. Crosswell Home for Children has been providing care to children throughout SC that are unable to live with their family for various reasons. Our 28 acre, smoke-free campus is located in downtown Sumter with three residential cottages, providing a safe and secure, home-like Christian environment to children from newborn to 21 years of age. Our children are involved in church, recreational sports and activities.

    We are seeking Seasonal Summer Cottage Parents for May 28, 2024 - July 31, 2024.

    SCHEDULE:

    • Tuesday 8:30 am - 3:00 pm
    • Wednesday 8:30 am - 3:00 pm
    • Thursday 8:30 am - 3:00 pm
    • Friday 8:30 am - 12:30 pm

    * In-Person interviews required prior to job offer

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • 21 years of age or older
    • High School Diploma or equivalent
    • Childcare: One year experience, preferably in a group setting
    • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record and 5 years experience
    • Drug Testing and Background Checks

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
    • Ability to stand, walk, and run for extended periods
    • Ability to participate in physical activities with children, including swimming and outdoor games

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Role modeling for children
    • Supervision
    • Ensuring active engagement
    • Collaboration with cottage team leaders
    • Communication and documentation
    • Flexibility and teamwork

    Must demonstrate the commitment, interest and desire to carry out the mission and goals of John K. Crosswell Home for Children.

    Job Types: Part-time, Temporary

    Expected hours: No less than 23 per week
