Program Management Office Director directs and oversees the Program Management Office (PMO) to ensure programs and projects meet organization goals and requirements. Develops and implements PMO processes and policies, directs project management staff, and works with other department leaders to define, prioritize, and develop projects and programs. Being a Program Management Office Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Program Management Office Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Program Management Office Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. Evaluates students' progress and maintains accurate administrative records pertaining to classes. Prepares daily lectures and supplemental course materials to enhance instruction. Prepares and evaluates tests, exams, projects, research assignments, and other course assignments. Utilizes outcome data and student evaluations to improve courses. Develops new ideas and methods for instruction and prepares supplemental course materials to enhance instruction. Evaluates projects, research assignments and other course assignments to determine effectiveness. Examines new textbooks, including computer and instructional software, to improve instruction. Counsels students with academic, career, and personal needs and advises students for registration. Examines program/course content to achieve program and College goals. Performs college administrative duties, attends College meetings, and assists with recruiting efforts. Performs other duties which advance the mission of the College. Formulates and develops a professional development plan consistent with the College and program's goals.Master's degree in the teaching discipline; or Master's degree with at least 18 graduate hours in the teaching discipline.Central Carolina Technical College is sincerely committed to both effective managerial practice and equitable treatment of employees.
