  • Position Overview

    We are seeking an experienced Logistics Program Management Office (PMO) Manager to lead our team of program and project managers focused on supporting product development programs and supply chain/ logistics projects across verticals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management, logistics, and project management. This person will be responsible for growing the tools, developing the team, and prioritizing resources to ensure successful delivery of our supply chain and logistics programs.


    Responsibilities

    • Lead a team of program and project managers focused on supporting product development programs and supply chain/ logistics projects across verticals
    • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource plans for multiple projects simultaneously
    • Establish and enforce project management processes and standards to ensure consistent and effective delivery of projects
    • Identify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, and proactively address any potential roadblocks to project success
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline processes, optimize resources, and improve overall project delivery
    • Provide regular updates to senior leadership on project status, risks, and issues, and work collaboratively to develop mitigation plans as needed
    • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including product development teams, suppliers, and logistics partners
    • Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in supply chain management and logistics

    Minimum Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree
    • At least 12 years of technical project/program management experience
    • At least 6 years of management experience

    OR

    • Master’s degree
    • At least 10 years of technical project/program management experience
    • At least 6 years of management experience

    OR

    • At least 14 years of technical project/program management experience
    • At least 6 years of management experience

     


    Additional Requirements

    • Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Navistar does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)

    Desired Skills

    • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, logistics, or a related field; MBA preferred
    • 7 years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, or project management, with at least 3 years of experience in a leadership role
    • Proven track record of successfully managing large, complex projects in a fast-paced environment
    • Strong understanding of supply chain management and logistics, including experience working with suppliers and logistics partners
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address project risks and issues in a timely and effective manner
    • Experience with project management tools and methodologies, such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall
    • PMP Certification preferred
    • Six Sigma training preferred
    • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organization
