Located in in Henderson, Texas the HOPE facility complies with HSSC Residential standards and provides a safe and secure environment for staff and client while utilizing employing state of the art treatment methods.     Position Summary:

    Reports to facility administrator. Performs a variety of clerical and administrative duties related to administration in compliance with federal, state and local laws, Management & Training Corporation (MTC) and Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) directives.

    Essential Functions:

    1. Performs necessary clerical functions and assists in the preparation of reports, invoices, and logs in accordance with contract requirements.

    2. Receive telephone calls and visitors; tactfully refer them to proper individual if facility administrator is not available.

    3. Maintain calendar of events, schedules, appointments and take minutes of meetings.

    4. Assist with staff training requirements and scheduling; assist with maintaining accurate documentation

    in compliance with contract requirements.

    5. Maintain central library of required documents, handbooks, directives, facility operation procedures, etc.

    6. Maintain and update master facility operating procedures as directed by the facility administrator.

    7. Prepare and submit accurate weekly, monthly and quarterly reports as directed.

    8. Safeguard and maintain adequate office and cleaning supplies.

    9. Make recommendations for purchase of equipment/supplies; maintain expense account records and confidential files.

    10. Verify the accuracy of shipments received from distribution centers and authorized outside vendors.

    It is expected that the incumbent shall perform other duties as assigned within his/her capabilities as determined by management.

    Education and Experience Requirements:

    Graduation from an accredited senior high school or equivalent or GED. Two (2) years of administrative or related experience required. Computer proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel required. Must have strong interpersonal communication skills. A valid driver’s license in the state of Texas with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.

    Post Hire Requirements:

    Must complete preservice program and annual training requirements. Must successfully pass an annual background check, both of which must be approved by TDCJ. Must pass drug screen.
