Program Manager coordinates and monitors the scheduling, pricing, and technical performance of company programs. Negotiates and prepares contracts by considering the financial conditions, resources, and contractual requirements. Being a Program Manager develops new business and expands product line. Ensures adherence to master plans and schedules, develops solutions to program problems, and directs work of incumbents assigned to program from various departments. Additionally, Program Manager ensures projects are completed on time and within budget. Acts as advisor to program team regarding projects, tasks, and operations. Prepares proposals to win new programs. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a department head. The Program Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Program Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Ignite is currently seeking a driven, detail-oriented Program Manager to join our team supporting the US Air Force, in Fort Worth, TX. This position is expected to be onsite. Under the guidance of the Air Force Lead this position assists in the analysis and execution of Air Force programs.

    Duties Include:

    • Formulate, organize and monitor inter-connected projects
    • Decide on suitable strategies and objectives
    • Coordinate cross-project activities
    • Lead and evaluate project managers and other staff
    • Develop and control deadlines, budgets and activities
    • Apply change, risk and resource management
    • Assume responsibility for the program’s people and vendors
    • Assess program performance and aim to maximize efficiency of program
    • Resolve projects’ higher scope issues
    • Prepare reports for Air Force program directors

     

    Job Requirements

    Requirements and skills:

    • Proven experience as a Program Manager or other managerial position
    • Thorough understanding of project/program management techniques and methods
    • Excellent Knowledge of performance evaluation and change management principles
    • Excellent knowledge of MS Office; working knowledge of program/project management software (Basecamp, MS Project etc.) is a strong advantage
    • Outstanding leadership and organizational skills
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Excellent problem-solving ability
    • Ability to operate independently in meeting program objectives
    • Experience with the F-35 program or with Foreign Military Sales a plus

    Requirements:

    Bachelors Degree and a Top Secret Clearance

    Minimum of 5 years of experience in supporting programs

     

    Other Requirements:

    Must be a US citizen and be able to obtain and hold an active Top Secret Security Clearance
