Program Manager coordinates and monitors the scheduling, pricing, and technical performance of company programs. Negotiates and prepares contracts by considering the financial conditions, resources, and contractual requirements. Being a Program Manager develops new business and expands product line. Ensures adherence to master plans and schedules, develops solutions to program problems, and directs work of incumbents assigned to program from various departments. Additionally, Program Manager ensures projects are completed on time and within budget. Acts as advisor to program team regarding projects, tasks, and operations. Prepares proposals to win new programs. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a department head. The Program Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Program Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Include but are not limited to the following:
1. Draft and create engaging content for various channels, including social media, email newsletters and press releases.
2. Proofread content for clarity, brand voice, grammar and spelling.
3. Support relations with stakeholders, media, and vendors.
4. Assist in organizing and executing PR events and campaigns.
5. Collaborate with communications and media team members to produce graphics, video and photography as needed.
6. Monitor social media channels for brand mentions, messages, and comments.
7. Track media requests, coverage, email and social media metrics.
8. Maintain and update media lists and editorial calendar.
9. Manage email audience segment lists.
10. Research, learn, and implement best practices for using modern digital tools.
11. Drive continuous improvement. Offer recommendations for improving content quality, effectiveness, and performance.
12. Conduct research / drive interviews with key stakeholders within city departments to support planning / content creation.
13. Benchmark other brands, trends, and institutions.
