Program Manager coordinates and monitors the scheduling, pricing, and technical performance of company programs.     GENERAL SUMMARY

    Manage aerospace customer contracts and programs from new product development to full production programs.  Work closely with customers to develop, evaluate, and manage statement-of-work definition, plans, requirements, schedules, and production activities related to assigned programs.  Reviews engineering data and provides/creates planning, work instructions and production jobs for manufacturing.  Work with functional teams to evaluate impact of major program and process changes in support of customer requests.  Monitors daily operations to identify and resolve issues with support of other department personnel as required.  Works collaboratively with others to drive program performance and lead process improvement initiatives. Maintain communication, visibility, and close coordination with customer and supplier representative(s).

    CUSTOMER PROGRAM MANAGEMENT

    • Support & facilitate Customer Performance Metrics and Customer Excellence initiatives to ensure Quality, On-time delivery and Customer Satisfaction
    • Responsible for customer communications including written correspondence, teleconferences, and customer visits to provide timely communications and internal visibility to assure compliance with all contractual program requirements
    • Facilitate internal and external customer reviews (assessments, standards, program status, etc.) and coordinate action items with functional managers
    • Perform monthly program reviews with management
    • Facilitate and coordinate configuration changes, engineering, product quality issues and daily program performance issues with internal and external customers
    • Assist in preparing budgets and estimates for assigned projects and proposals
    • Manage contract closure and negotiate contract termination provisions

    PRODUCTIVITY/FINANCIAL PERFORMANCE

    • Evaluate and track customer requested schedule and contract changes for impact in cost, quality, delivery, and producibility
    • Lead process improvement initiatives to drive cost, quality and delivery improvements
    • Responsible for conformance to Cadence Aerospace Quality Management System to ensure requirements and standards are met

    PEOPLE

    • Facilitate consensus decision-making and cross-functional team support amongst operations and production manufacturing personnel
    • Monitor, encourage, and support production team on-time delivery and quality performance metrics

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

    Demonstrated broad general management and project knowledge, skills and abilities including:

    • Superior communication skills involving information exchange via effective listening, written, oral, and presentation techniques
    • Strong negotiation skills and ability to reach win-win solutions for all parties
    • Knowledge of contracts terms and conditions
    • Program/project integration, scope, time, cost, quality, people, communications, risk and procurement
    • Finance and accounting, sales and marketing, research and development, manufacturing, and continuous process improvement, supply chain management, new business development, and customer relationship management
    • Managing work relationships through motivation, delegation, coordination, team building, conflict management, and other techniques.
    • Effective time management
    • Demonstrated effective root cause analysis and problem solving involving technically complex issues
    • Strong computer skills with working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, MS Power Point, and MS Project and MRP/ERP systems. Visual MRP experience desired.
    • All other duties as assigned.

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

    Bachelor’s Degree in Business preferred, with minimum five (5) years professional experience in a production-manufacturing environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Aerospace industry preferred; lean manufacturing and supply chain management experience helpful.
