Program Manager coordinates and monitors the scheduling, pricing, and technical performance of company programs. Negotiates and prepares contracts by considering the financial conditions, resources, and contractual requirements. Being a Program Manager develops new business and expands product line. Ensures adherence to master plans and schedules, develops solutions to program problems, and directs work of incumbents assigned to program from various departments. Additionally, Program Manager ensures projects are completed on time and within budget. Acts as advisor to program team regarding projects, tasks, and operations. Prepares proposals to win new programs. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a department head. The Program Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Program Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Program Manager Responsibilities
    • Organizing programs and activities in accordance with the mission and goals of the organization throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). 
    • Developing new programs to support the strategic direction of the organization.
    • Creating and managing long-term goals.
    • Developing a budget and operating plan for the program.
    • Developing an evaluation method to assess program strengths and identify areas for improvement.
    • Preferred experience in writing program funding proposals to guarantee uninterrupted delivery of services.
    • Managing a team with a diverse array of talents and responsibilities.
    • Ensuring goals are met in areas including customer satisfaction, safety, quality, and team member performance.
    • Implementing and managing changes and interventions to ensure project goals are achieved.
    • Meeting with stakeholders to make communication easy and transparent regarding project issues and decisions on services.
    • Producing accurate and timely reporting of program status throughout its life cycle.
    • Analyzing program risks.
    • Working on strategy with the marketing team.
    Program Manager Requirements
    • Bachelor's degree or master's degree in business, information technology, or related field.
    • Proven experience in program management in federal contract information technology.
    • Proven stakeholder management skills.
    • Proven experience managing a team.
    • Certified Project Management Profession (PMP).
    • Preferred certified Scrum Master or Safe Agile.
    • Proven experience with SDLC.
    • Direct work experience in Agile methodology environments.
    • Understanding of project management principles and practices.
    • Understanding of information technology procedures and practices.
    • Experience using computers for a variety of tasks.
    • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
    • Understanding of project management.
    • US Citizen

    DoD public trust or interim secret clearance and higher
    Full-Time Exempt
