Program Manager coordinates and monitors the scheduling, pricing, and technical performance of company programs. Negotiates and prepares contracts by considering the financial conditions, resources, and contractual requirements. Being a Program Manager develops new business and expands product line. Ensures adherence to master plans and schedules, develops solutions to program problems, and directs work of incumbents assigned to program from various departments. Additionally, Program Manager ensures projects are completed on time and within budget. Acts as advisor to program team regarding projects, tasks, and operations. Prepares proposals to win new programs. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a department head. The Program Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Program Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Job Description:

    Works collaboratively with the Backus Surgical Services and Orthopedic leadership team and works cross functionally regarding implementation of strategic planning, program development, operational quality improvement, capital planning and financial/budget reporting and monitoring for all of perioperative services. Oversees clinical operations in perioperative services, utilizing specialized expertise and training.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Requirements

    Education

    • Bachelor's Degree

    Experience

    • 5 years of RN experience
    • Demonstrated progressive leadership experience with a minimum of 2 years

    Licensure, Certification, Registration

    • Registered Nurse

    Language Skills

    • English

    Preferred Requirements

    Education

    • Master's Degree

    Experience

    • Demonstrated experience in surgical operations. Preferred experience in ASC setting.

    • AORN Certified

    Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements

    • Demonstrated knowledge of Surgical Services.
    • Demonstrated understanding and experience in creating, implementing and managing hospital protocols and quality systems.
    • Excellent foundation of perioperative services operations/administration.
    • Knowledge of specialized applications software for medical record, patient scheduling and billing.
    • Strong ability to work completely independently,
    • Must be able to use sound judgment in solving problems.
    • Strong ability to coordinate many complex systems and programs simultaneously.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including consultative, influencing, and relationship management skills.
    • Specialized knowledge and training in areas of responsibility.
    • Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels.
    • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
